ACA Marketplace Plans (Get Covered NJ)
Individual and family health insurance sold through New Jersey's state-based marketplace, Get Covered NJ, with income-based subsidies.
About ACA Marketplace Plans (Get Covered NJ)
The Affordable Care Act (ACA) Marketplace in New Jersey is called Get Covered NJ. It is the state-based exchange where individuals and families who do not get coverage through an employer, Medicare, or Medicaid can shop, compare, and enroll in qualified health plans.
Every Marketplace plan covers ten Essential Health Benefits set by federal law and may not deny coverage or charge more for preexisting conditions. Plans are organized into Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum metal tiers based on how they split costs between you and the plan.
Most New Jerseyans who buy through Get Covered NJ qualify for federal Advance Premium Tax Credits and additional state subsidies that lower monthly premiums. Cost-sharing reductions on Silver plans further reduce deductibles and copays for eligible households.
